Example:
The pressman uses applied mathematics when calculating how many more
sheets to run in completing a job by multiplying the number of sheets
per inch by the number of inches of paper to calculate the total number
of sheets. Pressmen have access to a calculator and or formula sheet
if needed to perform the calculations. Also, pressmen divide the number
of sheets needed by the number of sheets that can be run with one pound
of UV coating.

Example:
Both groups of PMT's indicate the task of reading DADC set up sheets,
work instructions and specifications to determine prescribed setup and
operation of machines requires the use of Level 5 mathematics.
In support of this the PMT should have basic PLC, digital knowledge
and ladder logic to be able to troubleshoot using the mathematics formulas
and conversions.

Technology: Entry level 5 and performance level 6 is required
Example:
This position reflects level 5 Applied technology skills on the job
since (PMT) must understand the use of complex tools to maintain equipment
and analyze operational malfunction when using testing devices such
