Work Keys
WorkKeys is a skill assessment system developed by ACT (the same
company that developed the SAT) that measures skills in the following
areas:
- Applied Mathematics
- Applied Technology
- Business Writing
- Listening
- Locating Information
- Observation
- Readiness
- Reading for Information
- Teamwork
- Writing
These measurements can then be compared
to the skills required for a variety of jobs that have been profiled.

Areas of deficiency can be addressed through remediation programs
such as Key Train or WIN that are available in a variety of locations
throughout Western Indiana.
Locally the WorkKeys test is administered by the Department of Workforce
Development at the WorkOne office. For more information on testing
dates, local companies that require pre-employment WorkKeys testing
and remediation sites.
